Julie has drawn and painted for pleasure since childhood
seeking to capture a scene or a special moment.

A keen observer and lover of the natural world, Julie enjoys exploring the foothills and mountain parks near her home in Calgary. She often sketches and paints plein air and takes photographs for studio reference.

|
|
|
Whether working in watercolour, oils or gouache,
her paintings reflect her deep connection to the land
and its native flora and fauna.
|
|
|
|
|
As a former classroom teacher with the Calgary Board of Education, Julie loves to teach and is always ready to share her experience with emerging artists of all ages.
