Lorri was born in Calgary and now lives in Cochrane. She has painted since she was a little girl and is fascinated with light.

Lorri received her B.F.A. and a teaching certificate from the U of C. She now enjoys teaching adults through the Paintbox Art store in Cochrane and the Kerby Centre in Calgary. She also teaches privately.

|
Her work has been juried into the Gallery at the Calgary Stampede from 2006 to 2009, and in 2006 she won the Collector's Choice Award. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts.

Until it closed, Lorri was represented by the Corner Gallery in Canmore for twelve years. She is currently represented by the Rustica Gallery in Cochrane.

Artist's Statement
“I think that light can transform an ordinary scene into something extraordinary. I enjoy trying to capture light that changes quickly; the intense glow just before sunset, the sun breaking through clouds, or calm reflections in a river or lake. In my art I try to capture the moment.”
