Frances Chapman


Frances moved to Alberta in 1951,
from Manitoba where she trained as a nurse.


She has always enjoyed art,
and living in Calgary, she took the opportunity
to study fine art and printmaking at
the Alberta College of Art,
Extension Courses with U of A,
and Red Deer College series.


She has taught drawing and painting
to seniors through Further Education
with Calgary Catholic Schools,
City of Calgary Parks and Recreation,
and most recently at the Kerby Centre.

of the Centennial Gallery.


Artist's Statement

“Art to me is a very personal expression; my paintings become a window to my feelings, and if I can evoke similar feelings from my viewers then I am rewarded.”
