Bill has had a life-long interest in art and painting. He started taking courses at the ACA as a young person and has continued his interest in art throughout his life.
He spent a number of years taking summer courses at Lakeland College and credits Dean Reeves for his wonderful instruction and sharing his knowledge of painting.
Bill taught high school for the Rocky View School division, not in the area of art, but in computers and mathematics. He has taught art and painting workshops in the Chestermere area where he lives.
Bill is an avid hiker and skier and thus paints scenes inspired from his journeys through our mountains and along our foothills. Bill's work is representational and primarily focused on the beauty of our mountains.
Bill is a long time resident of the Calgary area and also enjoys painting prairie scenes. He paints in both watercolour and oils.
